Pivara Skopje recently received the AWS (Alliance for Water Stewardship) standard certificate, which is a recognition of the company\u2019s previous commitment in finding and implementing sustainable management solutions and complete protection of water resources. These solutions are an integral part of the long-term strategy and efforts of Pivara Skopje for environmental protection and sustainable development<\/em>\u201c, said Maja Ilievska, Quality Assurance Manager in Pivara Skopje.<\/p>\n<p>As part of this strategy, Pivara Skopje, together with the other members of the Coca-Cola HBC and HEINEKEN groups, has set ambitious goals for sustainable development until 2025, which include those for reducing water consumption, as well as treatment of wastewater from technological processes. To meet these own commitments, Pivara Skopje has invested in the construction of a state-of-the-art bio-wastewater treatment plant, which significantly contributes to the protection of surface waters from pollution.
