Pivara Skopje has been a leading strategic partner, from the very beginning, of one of the largest national environmental initiatives, GENERALKA WEEKEND. In the partnership with Man & Mountain, we took on the role of initiator of volunteer activities, logistical and financial support for the actions, and carriers of the vision to change habits through personal example and education.

Our sustainable development strategy includes caring for environmental preservation and reducing CO₂ emissions in the atmosphere, smart use of resources, and investing in people and the community. That is why, for 4 years, we have successfully carried out GENERALKA WEEKEND actions in which over 100,000 volunteers participated and more than 1.5 million kilograms of waste were collected. For every 10 kilograms of waste, one tree seedling was planted as part of the related Soncheva Gora action, resulting in more than 125,000 trees planted.

These results are not just statistics for us, they show the combination of vision, dedication, and volunteer action that guides us as a community partner and as a team that lives the values of its brand and its company.

The GENERALKA WEEKEND initiative was selected as the best socially responsible practice for 2023 in the category “Environmental Approach of Large Enterprises” by the Ministry of Economy and the Coordinating Body for Corporate Social Responsibility.
