A new Coca-Cola Active Zone was launched in Shtip as a donation from Pivara Skopje and The Coca-Cola Company, which marked the beginning of the second cycle of the long-term project of Pivara Skopje and The Coca-Cola Company for donating active zones throughout the country. As part of this project, five active zones were launched last year and this year is expected to see the launch of another five sports and recreational zones.

The Active Zones consist of top-notch fitness equipment, 5 professional fitness machines that will be available to all citizens 24 hours a day and for free.

“By continuing this project, we reaffirm our company’s long-term commitment to promote sports and recreation, as well as the support we give for the wellbeing of the community. Last year we committed that the active zones would become a tradition and would spread all over the country, so the continuation of this project is proof of that. Pivara Skopje and The Coca-Cola Company as socially responsible companies foster the community through various projects and donations. I am very happy that as a result of this donation, all residents of Shtip, regardless of their age, now have a place for recreation during the entire day and I trust that they will take good care of it and use it on a daily basis”, said Pivara Skopje’s Public Affairs and Communications Director Lambro Patce.

“I am very pleased that Pivara Skopje and The Coca-Cola Company decided to fulfil the wish of the residents of Shtip and install a Coca-Cola Active Zone in their city, following their last year’s request for such a donation, as soon as the project started. I am happy to see that the companies have honoured their promise. I hope that the Coca-Cola Active Zone will become the most frequented place in the city, where residents of Shtip will have the opportunity to take recreation, interact and have fun”, said Ilco Zahariev, MA, mayor of Municipality of Shtip.

The Coca-Cola Active Zones project is part of Pivara Skopje and The Coca-Cola Company joint global platform for promoting active life. As part of that same platform, in the last few years, Pivara Skopje and The Coca-Cola company have implemented a string of successful projects, among which, the Coca-Cola Football Cup, the 5 free bike racks in Skopje and the 5 Coca-Cola Active Zones from the first cycle of the project in 2016.
