In the city park in the very center of town, Pivara Skopje and The Coca-Cola Company, together with the Municipality of Strumica, officially put into use the second Coca-Cola Active Zone. The opening of the Active Zone in Strumica is part of the long-term project “Coca-Cola Active Zones,” which will be implemented in several municipalities across the country.

The Active Zones are a donation from The Coca-Cola Company and Pivara Skopje, providing outdoor recreational and sports areas equipped with state-of-the-art fitness equipment, intended for use by all citizens.

“Through the ‘Coca-Cola Active Zones’ project, we are continuing the long-standing mission and tradition of Pivara Skopje and Coca-Cola to promote sport and regular physical activity. As part of this important project, today in the Municipality of Strumica, with the support of the local government and the organization ‘Open Fun Football Schools,’ we opened the second Active Zone in North Macedonia. We are especially pleased that the citizens of Strumica are now being given the opportunity to exercise and engage in sports throughout the day. This summer, we will continue implementing the ‘Coca-Cola Active Zones’ project, which is of great importance for increasing physical activity among all citizens,” said Mr. Jovan Radosavljević, General Director of Pivara Skopje AD.

“We are particularly pleased that the Municipality of Strumica is part of this project, which provides citizens with a space for recreation and regular sport. By installing the Coca-Cola Active Zone in Strumica, we are strengthening our partnership with Pivara Skopje and The Coca-Cola Company, and together we will continue working toward creating healthy lifestyle habits among all categories of citizens,” said Mr. Zoran Zaev, Mayor of Strumica.

The Active Zones consist of five professional fitness machines and small-football goals installed at suitable outdoor locations and will be available for use 24 hours a day.

The project is part of Coca-Cola’s global platform for promoting a healthy and active lifestyle and represents an excellent combination of sport, fun, and socializing as a foundation for creating healthy habits among citizens. This summer, in addition to Skopje and Strumica, Active Zones will also be opened in Prilep, Tetovo, and Ohrid.
