A new SKOPSKO investment as part of the “Our Pride. Our Responsibility.” platform
Within the framework of the “Our Pride. Our Responsibility.” platform, Pivara Skopje’s iconic Macedonian brand SKOPSKO has announced its latest investment in reverse vending machines for waste sorting. This initiative brings together efforts in corporate social responsibility and environmental protection, and fully supports Pivara Skopje’s sustainability commitments under the “World Without Waste by 2030” platform, as well as the company’s goal to reduce net carbon emissions by 2040.
As a company that continuously listens to and follows consumer feedback, this investment was directly inspired by requests from the residents of Ohrid and Struga. For the first time, these two cities will receive this type of vending machine, which will help raise environmental awareness and responsibility among citizens.
“This initiative reflects our determination to contribute to sustainable development and to support local communities. The ‘Our Pride. Our Responsibility.’ platform is the foundation of our efforts to integrate sustainability principles into everyday life, and we are confident that this, like all our previous initiatives, will bring positive change to society,” says Marta Zavkova, Senior Brand Manager for SKOPSKO at Pivara Skopje.
“As the company that worked on developing and providing these reverse vending machines, we are proud to contribute to the meaningful expansion of waste-sorting infrastructure in North Macedonia. Our mission is to create conditions for more efficient and sustainable waste management, and these waste-sorting vending machines are a step forward in that direction,” says Iko Brdaroski, a member of the management team at Pakomak.
This investment is part of the sales campaign for specially marked SKOPSKO and SKOPSKO Smooth bottles, through which 1 denar from each bottle sold was allocated to organizing several initiatives and investing in equipment for cleaning, collecting, and sorting waste, as well as protecting the environment and preserving Macedonian landmarks.
KAM Market also joined the initiative by providing space in its stores for the placement of the waste-sorting vending machines.
As a future-oriented company, Pivara Skopje—through SKOPSKO’s “Our Pride. Our Responsibility.” platform—will also include other national landmarks across the country and bring together citizens, organizations, and institutions that share the same values and commitments to sustainable development, with the ultimate goal of raising collective awareness and moving toward a more sustainable society.
