The best decision in my life is that in 1980 I got a job at the Pivara Skopje, Dragan Zdraveski is decisive, who this year marks 40 years of operation in this company. Pivara Skopje is a company that takes perfect care of its employees, constantly upgrade the area in which we work, replenishing knowledge and adapting to all the changes that were happening over the years. An Operator in production, its current job position, is a very responsible job that involves receiving beer as well as preparing the beer for the pouring process. To be successful at what you do, two things are key – hard work and dedication, and also resourcefulness, quick adaptation and reaction are skills that are necessary during the work.

1. 1. You will soon celebrate four decades of work in Pivara Skopje. What memories connect you to your beginnings at work? When exactly and in what position did you get a job in Pivara Skopje?
      
      That’s right, I will soon be celebrating 40 years of work in Pivara Skopje. The fact that I have been working in this company for 40 years binds me with many memories, beautiful memories related to friendship, work, trips with colleagues, such as trips to historical places in Yugoslavia, Germany and etc. The best decision in my life is that in 1980 I got a job at Pivara Skopje, at the beginning in a position as a gatekeeper, and this is where the story begins that continues to this day.

2. 2. What does your current job position in Pivara Skopje mean?

   During my career I have changed several jobs, which included working in malt production, beer production and since 2000 I have been in the position of Operator in production in the Beer Plant. My current job position is a very responsible job which includes receiving beer as well as preparing the beer for the pouring process. Also a job position that requires attention and commitment in order to ensure and maintain the quality of beer.

    

   3. Are you satisfied with your job and the company in which you have spent large part of your life? How much Pivara Skopje allowed you to upgrade your self in the area in which you work?

   I am completely satisfied with the work in this company, because as you said, a large part of my life was spent in this company. Pivara Skopje is a company that takes perfect care of its employees, constantly updating the area in which we work, replenishing knowledge and adapting to all the changes that have taken place over the years. We are constantly upgrading, especially with a focus on safety and quality control in accordance with all standards that are key to the work in the production process.

   

4. 4. What values ​​and skills do you apply as a person and as a professional to be successful in what you do?

   Above all, in order to be successful in what you do, every job requires hard work and dedication. Since I was employed at the age of 22, I can say for sure that these two things are key to success. In addition, it is especially important to be honest and sincere in every work and every activity that needs to be completed, to be done really as it should be. Resourcefulness, quick adaptation and reaction are also skills that are necessary during the work.

    

   5. What is your biggest achievement in your work during these 40 years?

   The biggest achievement during my work in these 40 years, I think, is that I feel happy and satisfied in my workplace.

    

   6. How much the work in a company like Pivara Skopje teach you to deal more easily with the challenges you face every day?

   Pivara Skopje is a great lesson that has contributed a lot to my life, both for material goods and moral values ​​and skills. The work habits and skills that I have acquired right here have helped me a lot in my private life. Honesty and sincerity are some of the most important characteristics that are important in work and private life. Defining priorities and activities that need to be completed are skills that I have acquired over the course of my work and that I apply regularly outside of work as well.

    

   7. How is your collaboration with younger colleagues? What can you learn from them, and what can they learn from your many years of experience?

   I have excellent cooperation and collegiality with my older colleagues as well as with my younger ones. I transfer my knowledge and many years of experience to my younger colleagues, I train them for the way of working and I also share with them tips, guidelines on how to more successfully realize the work activities. I must mention that the exchange of knowledge is mutual, because I learn from them parts of the work that are related to new technology and digitalization, and I can freely say that man learns as long as he is alive.

How do you spend your free time?

I usually spend most of my free time to have a rest and to relax. Some days, and especially on weekends, I spend time take caring for my grandson, which is a great pleasure.

Do you have a hobby, something that fulfills you?

As a hobby, honestly I can’t single out anything special. When I was younger, I actively played football, we organized competitions with colleagues from Pivara Skopje, which was a nice way to socialize and play sports, despite the work. Now I love watching sports, especially football and boxing.
