This year, Pivara Skopje, in collaboration with Pakomak, remains the principal strategic partner of the largest national environmental action, “Generalka Weekend”, overseen by Man and Mountain.
Today, volunteers from Pivara Skopje were engaged in waste collection at the Kale archaeological site situated in the central area of the capital.
“On behalf of Pivara Skopje, we want to thank all the volunteers who participated in this action and thus set a personal example as ambassadors of sustainable development. Snezhana Savikj Dimovska, Director of Corporate Policies and Sustainability at Pivara Skopje, emphasized, “We acknowledge our corporate responsibility to foster a sustainable environment. We urge our entire community, partners, and like-minded individuals to join us in our endeavor to realize the vision of a sustainable future for all.”
During this year’s “Generalka Weekend,” spanning from May 17 to 19, extensive cleanup efforts will be undertaken across all 81 municipalities, as well as within the Shar Planina and Galichica National Parks. Anticipated participation includes over 16,000 volunteers representing over 200 non-governmental and governmental organizations, civic groups, sports clubs, pensioner associations, and more than 300 educational institutions. Cleanup activities will take place across more than 300 locations.
“For the fourth year in a row, Pakomak supports this action to clean up locations all over Macedonia. With such activities, we symbolically show that with each kilogram of selected and recycled waste, we contribute to a greener planet and a healthier environment,” said Filip Ivanovski, Executive Director of Pakomak.
Our company’s prominent role as a leading partner in orchestrating “Generalka Weekend” aligns with our long-term strategy for sustainable development. Our support for such actions represents a continuation of our efforts within the framework of the “World without Waste” platform and the “Net Zero initiative.”
