Pivara Skopje received the United Nations Award “Leadership of the Sustainable Development Goals”. This award, referring to the framework of the “Building Intersectoral Partnerships for Sustainable Development” project which is funded by the European Union, and implemented by the “Connect” organization, confirms the leadership role of Pivara Skopje and its long-term contribution to achieving the global goals for sustainable development, as well as its significance and influence on the development of the domestic economy and the community in general.

“We are extremely happy and proud of this award that we experience as a verification of the constant, long-term investments and efforts of our company and all its employees in achieving the goals for sustainable development. They are carried out continuously throughout the regular operation of Pivara Skopje, as well as through the realization of a number of socially responsible platforms in areas such as: education and development of young people, providing clean environment and protection of water resources, promotion of health and safety, moderate and responsible consumption of alcohol, affirmation of gender equality and other areas that have a great significance for the quality of life of the entire community. For its past commitments to sustainability, together with other members of the Coca-Cola HBC Group, for three consecutive years, Pivara Skopje was ranked number one in the world’s beverage industry, according to the prestigious global ranking that makes “The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices”. It is a global success resulting from several concrete activities and investments in increasing thermal efficiency and energy savings, recycling and saving water used in the production process, and reducing the weight of plastic (PET) packaging, with which the company significantly reduced its impact on the environment.
